The initial session lasts about 90 minutes and the following sessions last for about 1 hour each.
Includes: 10 online sessions, + one follow-up email + one midweek check-in per week, plus extra resources when needed.
You need to be: Aged 18+. Ready and willing to make lifestyle changes.
Committed to 6 or 10 Zoom sessions (1 session/week of 45 to 90 mins).
Aware that it is lifestyle-focused, not medical treatment or therapy.
You have no medical issues affecting sleep or have consulted a doctor first to rule out a medical cause.
We talk about and work on your overall sleep goal by exploring and focusing on smaller actions that you are able to do, can commit to and are motivated to do.
We keep track of your progress. I provide some education and we can explore other factors by looking at your whole life and use tools for awareness about what does or does not work for you.
At the end of the session, you will have an action to work on for the week. We will check in with each other between sessions for accountability and to keep you motivated!

We use our coaching skills and knowledge to support and empower people with making lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellness.
We consider a broad range of lifestyle factors that support or undermine health (e.g., what, when and how you eat; whether and how you move; your sleep and rest; how you manage stress, etc.).
We acknowledge that each person is an expert on their own life.
We are non-judgemental allies who support, educate and motivate.
Health coaching is client-led and collaborative.
A health coach is not a medical doctor, therapist, counsellor, dietician or nutritionist.
I'm Amanda, I'm in my mid-fifties and I live in Kent, UK. I have a PhD in psychology and I'm a certified health coach.
I have first-hand experience of going from being fit and healthy to having physical setbacks. I started to struggled with sleep when I hit perimenopause and I have been an unhealthy weight. I understand the frustration of trying to sleep better and of getting fit and healthy again from a low starting point.
Over the past few years, I focused on three pillars of health: sleep, nutrition and movement. I explored what factors affect my sleep and I now sleep much better. I looked more closely at what and how I eat and drink and I'm back at a stable healthy weight. I got fit again by starting with baby steps which I did consistently and built up gradually. My greater interest in health led to training as a health coach. I now love supporting others so that they can feel great again too.
I empathise with how hard it can feel to start making changes but I know that small consistent steps and having guidance and support lead to better things!

"Since going through menopause my sleep quality and quantity had dramatically deteriorated and I honestly thought that I would never have a good night’s sleep again. I woke up at least once a night and I would regularly spend hours willing myself to go back to sleep, feeling anxious and jet lagged the next day. "
"But now, what an improvement! After 6 weeks of sleep coaching with Amanda I am delighted to say that I now regularly get 7 hrs of unbroken sleep, my sleep anxiety is gone, and I wake up refreshed and eager to start my day. "
"Amanda helped me to recognise the changes that I needed to make and gently coached me through the process at my pace. Amanda is very good at explaining the science behind the changes needed, which in turn makes them easier to implement. Her very kind and positive manner enabled me and kept me on track so that with 6 weeks commitment and trust in the process I increased both the quantity and quality of my sleep and now I actually look forward to bedtime. "
"I highly recommend Amanda and her Sleep Refresh course – it works!"
